Discover Devon each season

Our lodges are open for use 12 months of the year and whilst the summer sun may be long gone, each season has just as much to offer in its own right!

The idyllic wealth of scenery throughout Devon takes on a new dimension during autumn and winter. Take a visit to one of the county’s heathland nature reserves such as Bovey Heathfield or Chudleigh Knighton to see the heather and gorse turn the countryside shades of purple and gold.

Don your wellies and wrap up warm for a brisk walk on the moors to marvel at the dramatic landscapes. If you explore Rackenford and Knowstone Moors Nature Reserve near Tiverton you might even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the magnificent Red Deer – Devon’s largest land mammal.

Take advantage of the fact that the beaches are not as populated at this time and enjoy a walk along the shoreline breathing in the coastal air and listening to the crashing waves. Don’t forget a flask of coffee to warm you up – or perhaps find a cozy pub and try a local ale!

If the weather is inclement, that doesn’t need to stop the fun. Devon has many indoor attractions such as the UK’s largest aquarium, the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth. For a spot of retails therapy pick up a bargain at Affinity Shopping Village – a unique outlet shopping village offering over 30 stores.

With a holiday lodge here you will have the opportunity to rediscover Devon each season.
